As part of a new initiative to expand in multi-messenger astrophysics, the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah invites applications from outstanding candidates for several tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. More senior candidates will also be considered. We encourage applications from scientists engaged in research in any area of multi-messenger astrophysics. We are especially interested in, but not limited to, candidates with expertise in data analysis that combine information from multiple astrophysical messengers. We encourage candidates with expertise in experimental techniques in particle astrophysics or in analysis using a combination of neutrinos, high-energy particles, photons, and gravitational waves.

Candidates should show promise as effective educators and mentors, and contribute positively to a diverse and inclusive environment within the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the University of Utah. The expected start date is August 2023.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics/Astronomy or a closely related field, a demonstrated record of accomplishment and innovation, and dedication to teaching and mentoring.
